If you could bottle up the air in Australia you would be one very happy and rich human being. It took not living in Australia for the past 13 years to really appreciate the deep love for the land that I have. People always think that immigrants who leave war torn countries or countries that are in economic strife are so happy to be out of there. But the truth is that no one ever really wants to leave their home and their families and there is much conflict and deep grief and sadness that follows those families and individuals. Starting new is always difficult. But I look back now and have so much appreciation for my dad for having the courage to take his little family of three so very far far away from all they ever knew in hope of a better future.
